Welcome to Melodic Musings

As a pianist, listening to piano music can be very enjoyable, enriching, and even exciting, giving us an increased appreciation of the piano, and of music in general. Over the next five weeks, you'll find five new posts, one for each week, with a special "listening assignment" of a famous piano composition. Maybe you already have some of the songs in your CD collection at home. If not, I'll provide a link to Amazon's MP3 Store,so you can download the song and listen to it on your computer. You can also find selections at the iTunes store. Most downloads are only 99 cents apiece, and will be a great addition to your music library.

Listen to each piece carefully. You may want to hear it more than once! After you've listened to the song, answer the questions that I've provided, and either post your responses as an online comment, or send me an email at melody@yourchurchweb.net.
